March 2008 Archives
So I might or might not be home alone for the next couple of days. Something came up in the family and hubby is considering hitting the road, but he haven't made up his mind yet (At least not that I am aware of at the time of posting).
The snow we got the other day turned out to be bit more than expected, but it has already disappeared again. It was so weird for a while. I went to take my usual nap and all we were getting were a mix of mostly rain and a little bit of snow. When I woke up it was big fat flakes and it actually covered the ground. Needless to say I was enjoying it while everything was looking pretty, but as much as I love snow I think I am ready for spring. I love the time of year when I can start keeping the windows open for longer and longer periods of time without feeling like the house turns into a freezer.
The kitties have been enjoying the open windows too and several times we've been subjected to their lots and lots of fresh air antics.

This is me having fun with a sketch challenge and the DD "More is more, Less is less" challenge on Split coast Stampers. It has been a while since I've done a challenge. I usually don't participate because I like to work at my own pace, but these just spoke to me.
Everything but the belly band and flower was cut with my Klic-N-Kut. The stamp used is from StampinUp "Delight in Life".

I thought I had just posted, but as it turns out it has been 12 days already. I guess time do fly when you're having fun.
We've still got grass and a lot more of it too. There's still a few minor piles of that white stuff hanging around though not in our yard. Hubby is very happy about that.
I spoke too soon. Between starting this post last night and waking up this morning we've got snow on the ground. Not inches and inches of it, but enough that we cannot currently see as much grass as we could yesterday. My bet is that it will not last long.
My craft table is a mess right now. Piles of stamp sets, creative magazines, things to alter, finished projects and other misc stuff sitting around while I try to figure out what to do with them. And I am having what seems like a blue million ideas brewing. I don't know how many of them I will actually act on, but it is nice at least having the option of whether or not I want to do something instead of spending time trying to come up with ideas just to justify the amount of craft supplies I have managed to collect. Besides I am trying to do a bit of stash busting. There's so much paper, card stock, ribbon etc and it won't do any good if I don't use at least some of it :)
I have been posting some of my projects on Flickr. One of these days I might actually get around to set up blog posting from there, so I won't have to worry about uploading there and uploading and posting here. Too much work when all I want to do it play and have fun.

And hubby rejoiced greatly :)
Yes, we still have that white stuff on the ground though it is not as pretty as when freshly fallen. Unfortunately this also means that we're beginning to see just how much cleanup we have to do, once it's all gone.
I am so looking forward to that task.
I did get my Klic-N-Kut (KnK) two weeks ago and I've had an absolute blast playing and getting comfortable with it. This machine is fast. With the wishblade I could get up, go for a drink or take a potty break while it was cutting. Depending on what I'm cutting with the KnK, there is barely time to get out of my chair before it's done cutting.
We did have a bit of "fun" making room for the KnK in the craft room. Initially hubby thought I'd have to move into what is currently the tv room, but with a bit of very creative pushing things around we managed to find the needed space in the craft room. And it actually looks bigger too. The only down side is, that there is no way I'll be able to fit anything else in here. I have def maxed out the space I have.
